Here are some helpful questions and answers before you move.
LONG DISTANCE MOVES We accept payment by certified check, cashiers check, money order, or cash when we arrive at your destination before we unload. Credit card (Visa, MasterCard) should be run a few days before we unload to ensure it goes thru. (Please call the credit card company or the bank and notify them of the impending charge.) LOCAL MOVES we accept local check, cash, and credit card (Visa, MasterCard) paid upon completion of move.
IN THE EVENT A FLAT RATE IS CHOOSEN. ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS WILL RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
LOCAL The actual cost of your relocation will be determined by multiplying the actual hours spent on your move by the hourly cost quoted to you by our estimator. Please recognize that our estimated time for the completion of your move is just that—an educated estimate. As such, the actual time spent to relocate your assets may differ from what we may have estimated. Simple things can drastically affect the time of your move. Boxes going in the garage or in each individual room, Furniture placement, Long Walks, Weather and many other factors.
On time Moving. Will not be responsible for delays due to traffic or inclement weather.
The last hour of your move will be prorated by 15 minute increments.
First, we highly recommend that you select a licensed electrician or plumber for your appliance disconnect/reconnect needs. However, in the instance you would like On Time Moving to do this task for you, we will request that you sign a liability release form which would absolve On time Moving from any responsibility in the event that any damages occur to your equipment and home during the disconnect/reconnect process.
Yes. You can leave all articles of clothing, non-breakable or non-valuable items in drawers. The drawers will be secured shut. It is suggested that you empty drawers of any fragile or heavy items.
Yes. All boxes should be closed and taped-up. For best results, all boxes should be as fully packed as possible. Please identify fragile boxes. Please label the top and at least 2 sides of all boxes if you want room placement at the new home.
On Time Moving will complete the move if at all possible. On time Moving WILL NOT be responsible for soiling of carpets due to wet or muddy conditions.
$1.20 per lb valuation option (This option is free with no deductible)
The items are valued on the weight of each item. If an item weighs 200 lbs the most that could be paid out for that item is $240.00. If repairing the item is under the amount the less amount will be paid. If the item is being claimed as a total loss, meaning no longer useful. On Time Moving has the right to take possession of the item. Full Value Protection (This option is free but will have a deductible) Any item damaged will be repaired. Any item destroyed will be replaced with a like item. Any item that is replaced can be replaced with a used like item. The value cannot exceed $6.00 per lb per item. If the item is being claimed as a total loss, meaning no longer useful. On Time Moving has the right to take possession of the item
ITEMS NOT COVERED UNDER INSURANCE OR VALUATION Any containers packed by owner / Any furniture wrapped by owner / Lamps not boxed / Glass not boxed / Ceramics not boxed / Driveways / Damage from non allowable items / Pictures not boxed / anything in or out of self storage / Pressboard furniture / Damage from liquids / previously repaired furniture
The start times will differ depending on your area. Morning jobs usually start between 8:00 and 9:00. Afternoon jobs do not have an exact time they are depending on what time the previous job gets done. They usually start between 11:00and 2:00. Due to traffic and weather in our area, On Time Moving cannot be held responsible for delays out of our control.
As with other service industries, You may wish to thank you movers for a job well done. While the movers never expect a tip, Anything given is much appreciated. A general guideline is $20-$40 per day involved. If the movers went above and beyond, you may want to increase the amount accordingly.
Please be as detailed as possible during the estimate. The more detailed you are the closer the estimate will be. With over 100 (combined) years of experience, our sales team prides themselves on providing the most accurate moving estimates in the industry. Be sure to offer as much information as possible at the time of the estimate – this includes reviewing the inventory for accuracy. Neglecting to mention additional items, or difficult areas of access, at the time of the moving estimate almost always results in unexpected costs for the customer. If additional items are added there will be additional charges.
